Romsey Primary School & Nursery

Welcome

Welcome to Romsey Primary School & Nursery

Our school is a very special place.

The children are incredible and we have the most dedicated staff who put the children at the heart of every decision.  We are lucky to be one of only a handful of schools in Hampshire that have a maintained nursery, which allows us to nurture and inspire children from below three to eleven years old!

We are a high achieving school and provide all our children with a curriculum that is exciting, challenging and creative.  Teaching teams are committed to presenting rich, authentic experiences across all areas of learning, especially in the visual arts, music and sport.  Our school site and grounds are fantastic; we have a vibrant learning environment, spacious grounds with an adventure trail, our own pond and woodland area bursting with trees and bushes used for outdoor learning and play.

'The well-being of pupils is at the heart of this inclusive school' and we pride ourselves on building incredibly strong relationships with the children to really get the best out of everyone.  Teachers are innovative, and are continually at the forefront of new strategies and ideas in education.  'Pupils love coming to school', because 'teachers make you feel clever'.  Behaviour is excellent, and children show they have positive attitude to learning everyday.  (Ofsted 2018)

We have a strong sense of the ‘Romsey Family’ and this is a significant strength of the school. We have a thriving PTA and good relationships with parents and the wider community. However, don’t take my word for it: come and visit us to see the children actively learning and playing and get a feel for what it is like to be part of our Romsey Family!

If you would like a free paper copy of any information found on the website, please contact the school office.
