2 Lunchtime Assistants
Hourly rate £12.97 to £13.07
Hours per week - 7 hours 30 minutes a week
We are seeking to recruit 2 Lunchtime Assistants who are reliable and enthusiastic and have a strong commitment to team working whilst supporting the children achieve a successful lunchtime. The successful candidates will:
- Be part of a team and communicate positively with the children and adults.
- Enjoy working with children and small teams of adults.
- Support children whilst they eat lunch and promote healthy eating.
- Be reliable and consistent in promoting good behaviour and the school values.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of the children.
Duties will include:
- Supervising children in the lunch hall, or sometimes their classroom, and when playing outside on the school playground.
- Supervising and engaging with children on the school playground by encouraging positive play and listening to children.
- Being aware of Health & Safety to ensure a safe environment for the children.

Train to teach
Romsey Primary School & Nursery is within the HTSP that provides routes to becoming a teacher. The HTSP and RPS have been very successful in helping grow a number of teachers over the past 8 years.
